The Due South bundle contains the first five books of Tracey Alvarez’s best-selling series set against the stunning backdrop of Aotearoa, New Zealand. If you like heartwarming, sexy and sweet small-town romances with a touch of comedy, you’ll love sharing the journey with these authentic men and women struggling to find their special someone.

The first 5 Due South Books (over 1500 pages) included in this bundle are:

In Too Deep (Book #1)
Two hearts. A second chance. Everything on the line…

To save her brother from financial ruin, police diver Piper Harland does the one thing she swore she’d never do—return to the tiny island hometown on Stewart Island where Ryan “West” Westlake crushed her heart. West lost Piper once, but now she’s back for an unexpected six week visit. Maybe he wants her a little bit, but can he fall in love with such a flight risk? Saying goodbye the second time might just destroy them both.

Melting Into You (Book #2)
They’ll either melt or raze their lives to the ground…

Ben Harland is, by his own admission, a bit of a grouch. He doesn’t do soppy chick-flicks and he’s hen-picked enough as it is with his mother and two younger sisters on his case. He sure doesn’t need any more drama in his world. But life has a way of rearing up and biting him in the butt when he least expects it. Cue insta-daddyhood to an eight-year-old girl and an out-of-control attraction to Stewart Island’s hot school teacher, Kezia Murphy.

Ready To Burn (Book #3)
Watch the sparks fly as they burn it up in the kitchen…

Shaye Harland desperately wants the role of Due South’s head chef, but the far too sexy Del Westlake muscles in and steals it. A reality TV show plans to feature Del at his estranged father’s restaurant—jump-starting his ruined reputation and career in the States—but will the sparks flying in the kitchen burn his chances of ever becoming Shaye’s Mr. Perfect?

Christmas With You (Book #4)
The Kiwi barbecue isn’t the only thing sizzling this summer…

Carly Gatlin’s doesn’t want to spend another Christmas alone since her father died the year before. She’s come to Stewart Island in New Zealand to spend the holiday with her stepfamily, though she feels more of a Christmas Grinch than filled with good cheer. Kip Sullivan’s big, boisterous family have also arrived en-masse—someone just shoot him before his match-making relatives get out of control. Kip agrees to make Carly’s first Kiwi Christmas special, but will he gain more than mistletoe kisses from the woman who threatens to claim his heart?

My Forever Valentine (Book #5)
Love small town romance and Happily Ever Afters?

Dive into the Due South world to find out what your favourite characters are doing to celebrate Valentine’s Day with these four short and sweet romance stories.
Intended for mature 18+ aged readers.

Excerpt From Christmas With You

She stepped under the shade of the first huge pohutukawa, blinking as her eyes struggled to adapt.

“Concentrate, zoomie,” she whispered. Her fingers fumbled up the grooved handle to find the trigger. “You got this.”

“Not this time, sweetheart.”

A strong arm wrapped around her body, pinning her arms helplessly to her side. Plastic pressed to the throbbing vein in her throat. Water seeped out of the gun and dripped down her neck. The shivers returned with a vengeance, but this time, they had nothing to do with chilly water and everything to do with the man pressed full length against her.

Warm breath puffed against her ear, and the cradle of his hips butted into her bottom. “Drop your weapon.”

Kip may as well have said, “Drop your panties.” His deep, rough voice affected her the same way.

Never surrender your weapon, zoomie.

Her throat seized, her mouth parched to sticky dryness. “No.”

Plastic squeaked, and more water oozed out of the gun, trickling down her overheated skin. The strong fingers wrapped around her upper arm flexed, not tight enough to hurt, just enough for her to know she couldn’t break free without a struggle—and another soaking.

“Resistance is futile.” Something soft and warm brushed over her earlobe, continued with butterfly lightness down the column of her throat to the very spot where her vein leaped under the skin. “I have you right where I want you. So drop it. I win.”

Her knees filled with wibbly-wobbly Jell-O, and her fingers on the gun handle had all the strength of mini sponge cakes. She was a sweet, hot mess from him grabbing her and breathing on her neck? Double-dammit. She’d underestimated the enemy’s skills at tactical engagement.

It’s In His Smile (A Red River Valley Novel) by Shelly Alexander

It’s In His Smile (A Red River Valley Novel) by Shelly Alexander

It’s In His Smile Cover

4 out of 5 Stars

*I was provided a copy of It’s In His Smile by the author in exchange for an honest review. I am not compensated for my honest opinion.*

Miranda Cruz has something to prove to herself and Red River. She’s determined to become a respected business owner and overcome the bad reputation her mother saddled her with. Witnessing her mother’s mistakes, Miranda is determined to do it all on her own and not depend on any man.

Talmadge Oaks has a life outside Red River, a life that’s beginning to fall apart and desperately needs his attention. When he realizes the only solution to his problem is to stay in town and help Miranda with the renovations of her inn, Talmadge gets more than he bargained for. The undeniable chemistry between the couple sizzles, but secrets and independence just might push them apart.

It’s In His Smile is book three in the Red River Valley series and is completely standalone. It is a contemporary romance and women’s fiction novel, with Miranda asserting her independence and desire to stand on her own without a man to support her. The story is well written with a strong plot and strong characters.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Miranda and Talmadge, but above that was the fact both main characters had issues outside of the relationship. This gave the story more depth, keeping me interested in their lives beyond whether they would end up together or not.

The only drawback from this was how it went a little overboard in Miranda asserting her independence. I realize the characterization was true throughout the story, however after a time it felt like a bit too much. The ending was just okay for me, but I did appreciate the story overall.

I would read more stories from this series as well as more from this author.

She resides in South Carolina with her high maintenance beagle mix dog, Miss P, who should probably just have her own Instagram account. An avid reader since childhood, she became hooked on historical romance novels in high school. It wasn’t until within the last seven or eight years she tried her hand at contemporary romances. Some of her favorite historical romance authors include Christi Caldwell, Courtney Milan, Mary Balogh, and Tessa Dare. Some of her favorite contemporary romance authors include Julia Sykes, Ella Dominguez, Skye Callahan, and Meghan March.

She initially began writing in November 2015 as part of National Novel Writing Month, when, suddenly, the story became something more than just writing on a whim. The vision for the story snowballed and, before she knew it, she began taking steps toward publishing. Each book in her first series feature Romantic Suspense and BDSM combined.

A Lush Rhapsody (A Rhapsody Novel) by Selena Laurence

A Lush Rhapsody (A Rhapsody Novel) by Selena Laurence

A Lush Rhapsody Cover

4 out of 5 Stars

*I was provided a copy of A Lush Rhapsody by the author in exchange for an honest review. I am not compensated for my honest opinion.*

As the newest member of the Lush family, Tully O’Rourke has a lot to prove. It’s not easy being the new guy—or girl—in such a close-knit group. Lush has been around for a while, and not everyone is happy about adding a keyboardist and backup vocalist and changing their sound. But if there’s one thing they all agree on, it’s that Tully needs to stay away from Blaze Davis, the lead guitarist for rival band Rhapsody. Easier said than done when the two bands are on tour together and the sparks between Tully and Blaze begin to fly.

Peterson “Blaze” Davis has something to prove. Winning the Superbowl Halftime Show spot will ensure his father sees just how far he’s made it in the career his father doesn’t approve of. Blaze will do whatever it takes to come out on top, and he doesn’t care who he has to step on in the process. His budding relationship with Tully and newly-formed truce with Lush are put on the line, along with Blaze’s sobriety.

A Lush Rhapsody is a crossover rockstar romance novel by bestselling author Selena Laurence. The Lush band is back with a new addition in order to freshen up their sound, and Tully O’Rourke is out to prove herself to her new bandmates as well as her family. The book introduces the Rhapsody band members, setting the reader up for the new series about this rival band. Ms. Laurence does a great job of incorporating the secondary characters into this book to give us some insight into what they’ll be up against in the coming stories without detracting from the main plot of this book.

Both Tully and Blaze had depth to their characterizations, and both had their own personal issues to overcome, keeping the story interesting. Everything was nicely woven together, bringing out some strong emotions in several places. I was hooked on both main characters right from the start, and their attraction was palpable, practically sizzling off the screen of my e-reader.

The only drawback was that with the story told in alternating points of view, at times things were glossed over where I would have like to see some more depth. Being told a character was laughing or crying without feeling the emotion with them left me somewhat unsatisfied. That’s not to say it happened regularly; I certainly laughed and cried right along with the characters in many places. There were just a few places where I would have liked to see a little more.

Overall, I enjoyed the book from start to finish and look forward to reading more about the Rhapsody band members in the coming books. Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
